The European Security Data Space for Innovation (EU SDSI) is recognized as the cornerstone for implementing the European Data Strategy in the security domain, aiming at Europe’s data sovereignty, and to increase trust in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by Law Enforcement.

Over the past few years, the portfolio of EU projects has been focusing on addressing pertinent security threats and find ways to improve societal resilience addressing Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and security practitioners needs. A common thing between the proposed approaches and technological solutions is that they rely on the exploitation of large sets of data by data-driven and data-intense techniques such as Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data analytics and intelligence visualisation. However, a common and recurring challenge in this landscape is the lack of domain-specific data with sufficient quality and quantityto enable appropriate training and testing of the developed methods, tools and platforms.

To answer this challenge TRACY can deliver high quality synthetic training and testing datasets covering identified operational use cases contributing to the existing needs of Law Enforcement.
